About Kim Paterno
Kim Paterno is the eternal mom. She always helps others without thinking about it, even when she was raising her daughter as a single mom. She welcomes the hurting, the lost, and the searching into her home to help them in any way she can. Kim is a hard worker, and everyone she works with enjoys being around her. Being a no-nonsense person, she greatly values accountability. Kim embodies the spirit of Habitat for Humanity, and we are happy to have worked together on her new home.
Construction
The Paterno Home is a two-bedroom, one-story house in the Greenwood neighborhood. We officially broke ground at the Paterno Home in early November 2021. Construction began in early 2022. The Paterno Home was dedicated in December of 2022 thank you to everyone who helped make this possible!
Fundraising
The App Builds a Home fundraising goal for the Paterno Home was $50,000. We have successfully raised all $50,000 dollars for our fundraising goal! App Builds a Home was fortunate to have received a $20,000 matching grant from State Farm. In order to receive the match, students had to first raise $20,000 on their own. Many thanks to everyone who donated and to State Farm!
